Do I have to be a professional welder to build a TremorMUV? PDF Print E-mail

No. You do not have to be a professional welder to complete this project. You do however need to become a proficient welder before completing this project. The basic assembly of the base body is done with simple light tack welds. Once the entire base body is constructed in this fashion, you will need to perform the finish welding on the entire framework as directed in the TremorMUV build manual. If at this point you are not comfortable with your welding ability it is highly recommended that you hire a professional welder to come in and do all of the finish welding. This is a small price to pay for peace of mind.

If you choose to do all of the finish welding yourself, it is highly recommended that you have a professional welder look over the work you have done. Just because you think you're a good welder doesn't necessarily mean that you ARE. Safety always comes first in this project, and no shortcuts should be taken.
