If you're here, I guess you're curious about who I am, and possibly why I'm doing this.

Well, my name is Thomas and first of all, I need to say that I've always loved cars. Ever since I was a child, cars have been a part of my life in one form or another. The year I turned 16 was the year I put away my bicycle in favor of my first car, and I've never looked back. Since then I've been working and rebuilding cars in my spare time. Never professionally, as I felt that doing that in some garage on someone else's junk would take away from my enjoyment. So for that reason, I chose a different career path and kept the hobby!

In 1999, I built my first car from the ground up! And this was after being married for 7 years. My wife was really a great sport about the whole thing. The car I chose to build was one of my childhood favorites, a replica of a 427 SC Shelby Cobra. My desire was to build one that resembled the original as closely as possible. Less than 1 short year later, the car was done, and it was fooling people left, right and center! It turned out amazingly well, and I am very pleased with the results.

But alas, the climate that I live in does not allow me to use the Cobra as much as I'd like. The weather presents cold and undrivable conditions for at least 8 months of the year for such a car. Still having the "car building bug" and a desire to build something more challenging, I decided to build myself a vehicle that I could use year round. Since a four wheel drive is a must here in the winter (they don't even bother to plow the roads!), I decided it was time to own an EXTREME 4WD.

The TremorMUV (MUV / Military Utility Vehicle) which is a play on the common SUV theme, is styled with the military vehicle heritage in mind, and designed to be an extreme 4WD with incredible abilities. With that thought in mind, I took it one step further, in that this vehicle should be affordable to build, own and operate! Quite a feat you think?
